b) From what Jess experienced with his family during Christmas(Chapter 6), i can see that their family ties are not that good. I could also see that their family ties are not as good as my family ties. The parents are more biased towards the girls in the family as the girls in the family in the presence of their parents, they become very innocent and quiet. But when their parents went out, they become the tyrants, that is only the 2 elder sisters of Jess. When they celebrate Christmas, Jess' father bought a racing car set for Jess. When the racing cars did not run to Jess' father fulfilment, his father cursed at the racing cars with impatience and kicked at the floor dangerously near the tracks. Even when my father bought me something, and it did not perform to my father fulfilment, he did not do anything dangerous or cursed. And when the cow, Bessie is needed to be milked, his mother did not ask her daughters to do but instead ask Jess to do the milking. When Ellie, Jess' eldest sister, helped Jess' mother with the ham and sweet potatoes for dinner, the mother only praise her but not Jess who helped his mother everyday with the milking. a) Chinese New Year is a special occasion for my family and me. Before Chinese New Year, my family and i went to my grandma's house to do spring cleaning and to wait for the new furniture to arrive. My mother's siblings were also there so, my cousins were also there as well. Instead of helping to do spring cleaning, my cousins, my brother and me were playing computer games on the laptop my cousins brought. My parents stayed there for like 8 hours, so that means we played computer games for 8 hours! I don't think we played that long as my father ordered pizzas and we ate. After eating, we continued our games till the furniture arrives and arrange it before going home. After reaching home, i went to shower, brush my teeth before going to sleep. The next day, we went to our grandma's house again and have our reunion dinner. We reach there too early and many of our cousins have not arrive. My eldest cousin is staying there and she is awake playing the computer. My brother and i also joined in till all my cousins, aunties and uncles arrive. After they arrive a few minutes later, we started the reunion dinner. After eating, we started giving out red packets but of course, i'm not the not the one giving but the one receiving. After all the red packets has been given out, my cousins, my brother and me started to play the computer until my parents asked us to go home. After reaching home, my brother and i counted our red packets and got a total of $200! That is a lot of money! I felt happy as this year i got the most money to spend as the other years don't have so much money as maybe i was still young. Now that i'm already Secondary 2, i think that they give me so much money as they think i'm mature enough to handle that much of money. I tell you a secret. I still don't know how to manage my money.
